OUR summer meetings outdoors have finished and we are into our winter programme, which started off with Hazel Kaye from Leicestershire where she runs a nursery and holds an important collection of Tradascantias. Her relaxed, informative and warm manner endeared us all to her.
On October 12 we hold the Ron Sidwell Lecture in conjunction with the Royal Horticultural Society at Pershore College. Our celebrity lecturer this year will be well-known plants woman Jane Sterndale-Bennett, former chairman of the hardy plant Society. She is going to suggest uses for perennials in the garden and future change. Tickets are obtainable from the RHS office at Pershore College or Linda Eggins (NCCPG) on 01562 884 171. Tickets are limited and the meeting is open for anyone.
