AS a veteran of The Second World War, please allow me to say what pride and pleasure it gives me to receive and wear the Veteran's Badge awarded by the Ministry of Defence.
Surmounted by the Royal Crown the badge bears the insignia of the three armed forces with the word "Veteran" beneath. I understand the badge is available to veterans attending major 60th anniversary commemorations leading up to VE and VJ Days and will also be available to First World War veterans.
