SO George Cowley thinks that by making people pay more income tax, "the Government could afford to give us better schools and teachers".

There is a much easier way to get "better schools" George.

All we have to do is to all move house 30 miles down the road to Birmingham, where despite the teachers all being on the same payscale, and equipment costing exactly the same as here in Worcestershire, all children (including those in the leafy, affluent suburbs)get at least £720 of educational funding each per year, more than any child in this county.

Failing that George, we could all go and live in Warwickshire (£110 per child per year more) or Gloucestershire (£98 per child per year more. Do you get my point?

Our teachers George are superb already. They have to be to produce the same standard of education for our children with far less resources that many other comparable counties receive as standard and take for granted.

I have all the discriminatory facts and figures to hand if George would like to see them. It would be an absolute pleasure to enlighten him!
