THEATREGOERS will have the chance to see an hilarious West End hit based on the life of a famous writer and his equally famous drinking.
The Norbury Theatre, in Friar Street, Droitwich Spa, is set to show Jeffery Bernard Is Unwell by Keith Waterhouse.
The play finds the main character, Jeffery, waking in the night to find he is locked in the pub where he proceeds to help himself to a bottle of vodka as he contemplates life and his downhill path through it.
This funny and thought provoking play is based on the life of Jeffery Bernard, who was a famous columnist for The Spectator.
Jeffery was equally famous for his drinking and gambling ability, often not producing a weekly article for the paper, forcing them to print in the empty space, the title of this play.
During the play friends, enemies, great characters and several wives drift through his recollections and add their own view on his activities and excesses.
His constant stream of hilarious anecdotes makes this an unmissable play.
The play runs from tomorrow (Thursday) to this Saturday, with performances at 7.45pm.
Tickets cost £6.50 and £5.50 concessions, and are available on 01905 770154 or 01905 795619 (daytime).
l The play follows on from the Norbury's first night as a cinema, tonight (Wednesday), where Stage Beauty will be showing.
