DEAR EDITOR - I read the article on the possible installation of traffic signals at Slideslow roundabout with interest.
It was surely obvious at the time the Oakalls estate was planned that some 1,000 additional houses would have an impact on this busy junction.
So, is the taxpayer expected to foot the bill
for the £100,000 improvement or is the developer going to pay, as is common practice with significant developments that have an impact on the road system?
