DEAR EDITOR - I would like to congratulate Mr TS Edwards, of Arkle Close, Droitwich Spa, for his truly wonderful poem. This deserved a prominent place in your paper, not just on the letters page. Please reprint it in a more prominent position so that more people can take in the verse and the meaning.
Let us now challenge Droitwich Town Council for its version and Wychavon for theirs. Could we not appoint Mr Edwards as Poet Laureate for Droitwich Spa?
Perhaps we could also encourage the children of Droitwich Spa to write poetry about our lost heritage. Possibly someone could take over the role after Mr Edwards retires.
