A NEW-look Barnt Green Spartak ran riot at Continental Stars to take a 5-0 victory last Saturday.

GJ Singh's side saw several changes to the team that started the Midland Combination Premier Division season. Top scorer Naveed Arshad has rejoined former club Sutton Coldfield Town, while there were debuts for former players Karrol Hamber, Simon Campbell and Warren Sewell.

The new forward pairing of Hamber and Sewell caused problems as the former gave Spartak the lead with a well hit drive on 22 minutes.

Sewell, Hamber and Delroy Brown all went close to adding to the goals tally for Spartak before Nasir Hanif cleared an effort off the line before the break.

Delroy Brown scored direct from a corner to double the visitors' lead after the interval and two minutes later Sewell raced onto a Brown pass for number three.

Brown got the fourth midway through the half and captain Zahoor Suliman, on for the last half hour for his first appearance since a summer operation, completed the scoring 16 minutes from time.

An injury time Meir KA goal ended Spartak's unbeaten home record last Wednesday.

The hosts led 2-1 at half time but finished up losing 4-3 with the last kick of the game.

Meir were a goal up inside 40 seconds but Adrian Knox levelled on nine minutes.

Alex Lewis put Spartak ahead before Arshad missed three opportunities, including a penalty.

Meir equalised on the hour and went ahead with 14 minutes left.

Vincent Rattray made it 3-3 five minutes from time but Meir stole the points three minutes into injury time.
