INKBERROW based Mouthpiece Theatre Company's new season starts this week with The Mysterious Mr Love, a play that gives "a tantalising glimpse behind the strait-laced facades of Edwardian England".

The story concerns conman George, played by Marcus Fernando and shy shop girl Adelaide, portrayed by Denise Knight.

"George lures women into marriage to steal their savings. Adelaide has money in the bank.

"But George is a gentleman; he never runs off until after the wedding night. This time, however, has he met his match?"

Written by Karoline Leach, the play was first produced by Mouthpiece last year. Spokesman Keith Potts said: "It was such a success we've been asked to bring it back."

He continued: "Using original music, authentic costume and physical theatre, this innovative production combines drama, humour and adult themes."

Aimed at adults and suitable for those aged over 14, the production tours throughout Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Herefordshire. Locally, it can be seen at Studley Village Hall on Thursday, starting at 8pm (tickets £9 from 450188) and at Wythall Library at 7.30pm on Monday, October 25 (tickets from 01564 822980).

There are also two performances at Mouthpiece's base, The Bulls Head Inn, Inkberrow, on Saturday and Sunday, October 9 and 10. The Saturday performance starts at 8pm with tickets priced £9 while the Sunday show starts at 5pm and tickets are priced £19.95, inclusive of a meal in the pub restaurant, served from 3pm. Tickets available in person at The Bulls Head Inn or by calling 01386 792233.
