STUDLEY villagers who want to service their community can take advantage of a vacancy which has arisen on the parish council.
Since Mappleborough Green broke away to form its own parish council, two seats have been left at Studley.
Recently chairman of the village neighbourhood watch organisation, Jim Bacon, was co-opted onto the council to fill one of the seats but that still leaves another.
Parish clerk Dot Mitchell said she would welcome nominations from villagers.
The parish council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of every month in the evenings.
Parish councillors have a say on planning matters and environmental issues and have a budget for various projects in the village.
Anyone interested in applying to be a councillor can call Mrs Mitchell on 853204.
