Biddulph Victoria 1
Studley 1
AN early strike from Jamie Bayley ensured Studley emerged from deepest Staffordshire with a point.
Bayley's fifth minute opener was cancelled out by the Vics Neil Prestridge after 25 minutes and Studley keeper Mark Sanders kept the Biddulph attack at bay with a fine second half penalty stop.
But after the midweek 5-1 mauling by Moor Green in the Birmingham Senior Cup, Bees boss Kevin Rowlands must have been happy with a point.
He said: "We were hanging on for a couple of players and got there a bit late so it wasn't the best preparation.
"We did get off to a lightning start but you could say we scored a little bit too early."
Studley striker Kevin Jones had to be taken to hospital during the match after a badly gashed head.
