REDDITCH MP Jacqui Smith attended All Women's House last week to learn all about the innovative Positive About You project aimed at children.
The scheme, funded by Worcestershire Children's Fund, explores how children feel about themselves and are encouraged to understand more about each other and to celebrate their differences.
Children also learn how to keep safe and resolve conflicts.
All Women's House's programme of work focuses on supporting parents to develop home and family life and all activities are designed to foster cultural identity and family bonding.
A spokesman said: "Building effective links with other agencies is an important aspect of Positive About You.
"We work with agencies to devise workshop programmes to suit all needs and which aim to raise cultural awareness."
Earlier on in the day Ms Smith visited Oak Hill First School in Lodge Park to look at further projects which have been funded by Worcestershire Children's Fund.
