A 16 YEAR old had two remote control cars stolen from him just after 6pm on Friday.

The victim and his friend were walking along the footpath near Kingsley College when approached by two men who asked what they were carrying.

They then snatched boxes containing the radio controlled cars and made off, possibly heading towards Studley.

The first thief was white, aged about 30, 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build with short dark brown hair.

He was wearing a blue jumper, black jeans and black shoes.

The second was of a similar age and build, with short light brown hair and was wearing a beige jacket, black jeans and shoes and carrying a blue bag.

DC Stuart Hunt said: "The lad had just bought these remote control cars worth about £100 each and was very distressed to have them taken from him in this way.

"While this type of incident doesn't happen often, we'd encourage anyone buying large or expensive items to be as discreet as possible when transporting them home."

Anyone with information is asked to call DC Hunt on 08457 444 888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
