CHILDREN from two Worcester Schools will officially open a new Co-op store.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the pupils of Northwick Manor Infant and Junior schools, both on Northwick Road, will be presented with a donation of £150 for each school by store manager, Claire George, to mark the occasion.
"As a community retailer, it is appropriate that we involve the community in our special events and we are delighted our local schools are playing a central role in the re-launch of our store," said Ms George.
The former Alldays store, on Ombersley Road, has undergone a £110,000 revamp.
It was acquired by the consumer-owned Co-op two years ago, and features smart new decor as well as a more comprehensive range to meet the daily food shopping needs of the community.
The opening will take place on Thursday, October 14, at 10am.
