BROMYARD wheelchair tennis star Janet McMorran has been knocked out of the singles tournament at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games.
The 54-year-old lost in the first round against seventh seed Britta Siegers of Germany.
She went down 6-0 in the first set and then lost 6-3 in the second set after a better performance.
McMorran is making history as the only women's wheelchair tennis player to have contested all four Paralympic since 1992.
She is also taking part in the doubles tournament.
Meanwhile, Broms-grove's Richard White opens his bid to win the T35 100 metres when the heats start in Athens later today. Claire Cashmore of Kidderminster is the county's other hopeful in the swimming events.
