KIDDERMINSTER Harriers' director of football Jan Molby has swooped to sign Senegalese striker Youssou Diop and French midfielder Frederic Advice-Desrulsseaux.

Twenty-four-year-old Diop, who has had spells with French sides Haval and Toulouse, has signed a 12-month deal.

Molby said: "He can play in a front three or an attacking midfield role. He will get us goals out of nothing and I firmly believe he is different to many of the players you will find in this division."

Twenty-one-year-old Parisian Ad-vice-Desrulsseaux, who began his career at Lille, has penned a two-year deal with Harriers.

Molby said: "He has an excellent tactical knowledge of the game and his mobility is superb. In fact, he is probably the best we have at the club in that sense.

"His favourite position is midfield and that's where I would like him to play. His ability to go past players will create chances for his team-mates."

Meanwhile, Harriers have missed out on a potential bumper gate against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Molineux men were due to visit Aggborough for a friendly tomorrow night but the game has had to be called off because their squad is riddled with injuries.

They had been due to parade a mixture of first and reserve team players.

Wolves' secretary Richard Skirrow said: "Unfortunately we only had 17 players fit at training yesterday and they will all have to be involved in tonight's game at Mansfield.

"The only other alternative for tomorrow would have been to send an inexperienced Academy side but this wasn't considered to be fair to the paying public.

"Although the situation is unavoidable we appreciate the inconvenience caused and sincerely apologise to supporters of both teams who were planning to attend the game."
