ROB Wood, Velo Club Sevale's most recent signing, produced a storming ride in last Thursday's 15-mile time trial with a winning time of 36min 28sec.
Dave Dickerson came second over a minute down with a time of 37min 45sec. Worcester St John's man Dave Walker's time of 38min 32sec gave him third place, two seconds faster than club member Brian Boswell.
The full results were 1 R Wood 36.28, 2 D Dickerson 37.45, 3 D Walker 38.32, 4 B Boswell 38.34, 5 M Amery 38.47, 6 S O'Toole 41.23, 7 J Sharrock 43.23, 8.S Price 43.53, 9 T Knight 44.30, 10 H Treadwell 46.43, 11 C Lewis-Farley 47.25, 12 E Bray 52.00, 13 K O'Toole 54.58.
The next event is on Thursday (May 27), a 12 mile hilly time trial starting from Welland at 7pm. The course goes up past Little Malvern Priory, over British camp, and returns via Eastnor and Hollybush.
