COUNTRYWIDE Stores on Hanley Road, Upton, has been granted a licence to sell alcohol.
Worcester magistrates approved the outlet's application at a hearing on Monday.
The store can already sell larger quantities of alcohol under its wholesale licence but wants to be able to sell individual bottles.
It says it will begin to trade under the new licence once a refurbishment programme is completed at the beginning of June.
