THE village hall sub-committee is holding a cheese and wine party on July 16 at 7.30pm. The venue is Dell House, Green Lane by kind permission of Helen and Ian Burrage. The cost is £6 per head.
Another date for your diary is Sunday, August 29 when a boat trip from Tewkesbury marina has been arranged. Embarkation time is 3pm and the trip lasts for two hours. A cream tea, at extra cost, is available. Advance booking by the end of May at a cost of £6 per head is required for the boat trip and both the cheese and wine and boat trip tickets can be obtained from Barbara Savery on (01684) 562904 or Mike Bowker on (01684) 574079.
Malvern Wells tea club has arranged a visit to Westons Cider on June 24. More information about this from Barbara Savery.
The Wells Players has been unable to cast a play for the spring due to the loss of several members. It plans to hold play readings next month at which any new prospective member will be most welcome. Details from Val Greaves on (01684) 566860.
