LITTLE monkeys can get into the groove at new music classes which are being launched in Droitwich.

Monkey Music gives tots aged between six months and four years old the opportunity to sing, play instruments, and meet other little ones.

The classes will run at the Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre, in Briar Mill, on Tuesdays.

They are led by Worcester woman Kari Vaughn, along with the help of a pink and orange monkey called Monty.

The 30-minute sessions start with a hello song, after which the children have the opportunity to rid of any excess energy by hammering it out on a musical instrument,

They then do some marching, before singing goodbye.

Monkey Music was set up in 1998 and has since spread across the country.

"The aim of the sessions is to introduce music to very young children in a way they can understand and enjoy," said Kari.
