CAUGHT at Dawn, ridden by 17-year-old jockey Tom Weston, was the toast of the Worcestershire Hunt point to point after his victory in the Lady Dudley Cup at the Chaddesley Corbett track on Saturday.

Weston, always had his mount to the fore in the 11 runner race, which saw one of the joint favourites Coole Venture pull up early on in proceedings, and jumping fluently the partnership set sail for home at the fourth last fence and were never troubled to score by five lengths from runner-up Out the Black the other joint favourite.

It was Caught at Dawn's fifth successive win this season, while the victory for Weston had point to point enthusiasts searching their memories for the previous youngest winner of the classic race.

Another multiple winner this season -- Upton Adventure -- continued in the same vein with an emphatic success in the Ladies Open race easily disposing of the challenges of runner-up Lucky Master and odds-on favourite Step and Run to record her sixth win of the season.

Jockey Micky Harris teamed up with trainer Teresa McCurich to score a double with wins in the Members Race aboard the ex-Francois Doumen trained Carthago and then a battling victory in the Club Members Mares aboard Sovereign Gale.

Sovereign Gale had seemed beaten once Campden Kitty had headed her but Harris forced his mount back up over the final two fences and they scored by eight lengths.

Closest finish of the day was in the Restricted Open race which saw the Rachel Reynolds ridden Magician get up on the line to score by a head from Paddy Bettalot and Tim Stephenson with the Adrian Wintle ridden Shaking Chief a further head away back in third place.
