A DROITWICH resident is considering how to spend his new found riches after being sent a cheque from British Telecom - for just 2p.
Andrew Christian-Brookes, who is a Wychavon district councillor, was highly amused when he received a letter from the company saying they owed him tuppence after he cancelled a phone number with them.
He was even more amazed though when he received a cheque through the post a few days later for that amount.
"I don't know what to do with my new-found riches," he quipped.
"I might take financial advice.
"I thought it was funny when BT said I was owed 2p, but it is just hilarious for them send a cheque.
"I opened another account with them for a new business number and it would have made more sense for them to transfer the money.
"A cheque for tuppence. It's madness."
