TRAVELLING Light, one of Britain's best-known theatre companies for young people, is coming to Malvern Theatres on Saturday, May 1, with a new play.
Cloudland has been created especially to introduce the very young to the magic of live theatre through puppetry, dance, masks and music.
Cloudland, adapted from the book by award-winning writer John Burningham, tells the story of little Albert, who falls off a mountain into a land where light-as-a-bubble children play among thunderbolts and rainbows.
Producer Jude Merrill said: "We've taken a story we know pre-schoolers will love and than added the touches for which Travelling Light is well-known - a very physical style of performing, strong story-telling, imaginative settings and specially-composed music.
"It is an introduction to live theatre that young visitors will remember forever."
Cloudland will be performed at 11am and 2pm, and tickets (£5.50) are available from the box office on 01684 892277.
