A letter from Mr George Ellis, Bello Squardo, suggesting the urgent necessity for the erection of lavatories near St Ann's Well, and other places, has been referred by the council to the town surveyor for report. The only wonder is why the idea has not been carried into effect years ago. That there is need for lavatories on the approach to the hills and on the Link Common must be apparent to everyone, especially on bank holidays when the town is crowded with excursionists. A dance took place at Ashperton Schoolroom in aid of funds to provide a drive for the Aylton and Pixley new rectory house. The dance was a great success beyond all expectations. Everything went as merrily as happily as the proverbial marriage bell. Congratulations were heartily expressed by those who had come to trip the light fantastic. Ledbury Free Press, April 19, 1904.

Their many friends will be happy to know that Mr and Mrs C W Dyson Perrins, of Davenham, Malvern, have returned from the Riviera, where recently, at Nice, they met with a motoring accident. Mr Dyson Perrins said on Monday that though his wife sustained one or two broken ribs in the accident, they suffered no permanent injury. Malvern Gazette, April 16, 1954.

The second Easter flower show to be organised by the Newent Home Food Production Club was held in the Memorial Hall on Saturday. Entries, which were over the 200 mark, were nearly double those of last year. Ledbury Reporter, April 16, 1954.

AT the first meeting of the newly-formed Stroke Club at the St John Hall, Malvern, members had the opportunity to put forward ideas on how the club should operate and to meet several of the professional people who have offered their assistance. Malvern Gazette, April 19, 1979.
