CHILDREN at Madresfield CE Primary School celebrated their skills with an eisteddfod.
During the eisteddfod - a Welsh term for a festival of the arts - all the pupils entered competitions in creative writing, handwriting, poetry recitals and art.
They also had the chance to show off their musical talents with competitions for piano/keyboard, clarinet, cornet, recorder, strings and singing.
Pupils also took part in a number of model-making competitions.
The reception class made fruit and vegetable animals, years one and two made owls, years three and four made weather mobiles and years five and six were challenged to make a scene based on the children's story Stig of the Dump.
The judging of the models was done by school caretaker Neville Bettle.
Pat Wilkinson, a member of Malvern Welsh Society, judged the music competitions.
Winners from each year group were presented with certificates at the school's Easter service last Friday, which was followed by a concert for parents.
The eisteddfod was founded five years ago by deputy head Sally Davies, who is Welsh, and has become a major event on the school calendar.
Winners were: Fynn Turberfield (reception); Lexie Pullen (year one); Aimee Colbourne (year two); Beth Smith (year three); Jodie Coates (year four); Tessa Titmuss (year five); and Katy Rix (year six).
