MEMBERS of Upleadon Over 60s Club met at Upleadon Village Hall on Tuesday, April 7. Mrs Hazel Berry welcomed everyone. She read two poems. The first was Mothers Day, the second was entitled Joys of Womanhood. The latter was from the newsletter of Sheppard House in Newent. Bert and Betty Vye showed a variety of slides. Some were from Cornwall, London and Wales. These were much enjoyed. Refreshments were served by the ladies and the usual 'everyone wins' raffle was held.
The next club meeting will again be in the Village Hall and is on Tuesday, May 4, at 2.30pm. The theme will be trains and reminiscences of them.
The bi-monthly bingo evening is on Monday, April 26 at 7.30pm
