I see from a letter in the Evesham Journal from Steve Jorden, Head of Environmental Services that Wychavon District Council can find money to provide and even extend facilities and services for dogs.
Recently we read in the Journal that the council is to spend an extra £472,350 on improving parks.
This is at a time when the council has chosen to end existing travel concessions for pensioners because they say they are short of money. It does seem a shame that the council can find money
for parks and dogs but not for pensioners.
Oh, and to avoid anyone repeating the usual (stupid) comment about 'different budgets' can they first confirm that if I've chosen not to allocate enough to my notional Council Tax budget to meet Wychavon District Council's demand for payment, they will get the council to accept less than they are demanding.
