GOLF: Peter Edmunds and his Wyre Forest Golf Club professional Daniel Clee tackle the Lombard Trophy qualifier at Little Aston.
Edmunds won his club's qualifying competition with a nett score of 63 to take a step closer to September's final at San Lorenzo, Portugal.
The radial driller has played golf for 30 years, now off a handicap of 14.
The regional final will involve one round of better-ball medal play on May 24.
Dawn Gregg won the Wyre Forest ladies section's April Medal, just edging Val Bow on the last nine holes.
Result: Gregg 99 gross 22 handicap 77 nett, Bow 90-13-77, Sally Smith 113-33-80 (last nine), Margaret Ellor 105-25-80.
