JOHN Brain had already turned his attention to Saturday's titanic clash at Pertemps Bees after his Worcester Warriors team had sunk Penzance Pirates 72-10.

Rather than fearing the trip to Sharmans Cross Road, Worcester's director of rugby came out on the offensive.

"Saturday can't come quickly enough for us," he said. "We've been looking forward to it for a long time now. It's a big game and we relish those occasions."

Brain was a happy man after seeing his side chalk up their biggest win of the season in the 71-10 rout.

"It was a thoroughly professional performance," he added. "What pleased us is that we scored tries in a variety of ways. The forwards and backs both scored some good tries and what was important was we kept it going in the second half.

"The target in that second period was to double the score and we achieved that so, all in all, it's been a good day for us.

"We know Penzance aren't the best side in the league but I can't ask any more of my players. They've done a very good job, worked hard and played some excellent rugby."

Worcester were once again totally dominant up front and Brain paid tribute to players such as Dan Zaltzman who came into the side in place of Mark Gabey.

"We made changes to the side and you wonder whether that's going to make any difference," he said.

"They produced the goods again, though, and it was very pleasing to see. The key is to keep doing it week in, week out. That has to be the aim because the players know what is at stake."
