JOHN Brain insists Jim Jenner and Co don't hold any fears for Worcester Rugby Club.

The Sixways director of rugby takes his side to Pertemps Bees on Saturday with Jenner, Craig Chalmers and Tom Richardson desperate to shoot down Worcester's promotion dreams.

The trio all made the move to Sharmans Cross Road in the summer after being released by Worcester.

And, after staying in National One's top three all season so far, they will fancy their chances of upsetting the Sixways title bid.

Brain, though, remains unconcerned about the ex-player factor.

"I'm not worried about that," he said. "We know that they will be looking to prove a point and I think they would quite happily settle for finishing 12th in the league and beating Worcester.

"The human interest story is not for me, though. It's for the media to talk about not for me to worry about. My job is to get my team playing to its potential and if we do that, we will win the game.

"We've been to Sharmans Cross Road a number of times so we know what to expect. We know they have some good players because you don't stay in the top three for so long without having good players.

"It's a local derby and there's a lot of interest in it. People want to talk about the ex-Worcester contingent but when all's said and done it will be about 15 men against another 15."

Duncan Roke is out of the match after suffering another knee problem in his comeback match on Saturday against Penzance and Newlyn.

The full back pulled up midway through the first half in obvious pain and was not able to continue. He will have further tests this week and the results will be known by Friday with a worst case scenario of six weeks out because of cartilage damage.

Club skipper Werner Swanepoel is also out after his rib injury did not respond to treatment and he will now look to the December 27 date with Coventry as his comeback game.

The Bees also have injury concerns after Chalmers picked up a hamstring problem during their win at Wakefield while, another former Sixways player, Nathan Carter is a doubt.

Fly half Mark Woodrow is out with a broken hand and they are so thin in the pack that they've drafted in another ex-Worcester man -- 41-year-old prop Mark Linnett -- as cover.
