One of Harriers' Conference-winning heroes made a surprise return back to Aggborough in February 2004 on a month's loan.

Released by Ian Britton to Chester in the summer, Jan Molby decided to bring back the forward who had served him well in the past.

The quick former Liverpool reserve and Hereford player is a good finisher in front of goal but also has the ability to run at defenders and put in useful crosses from out wide.

Foster lost his place in Chester's Conference-title chasing side this season, surprising considering he was top scorer with 17 goals when Harriers clinched promotion to the Football League in 2000.

Initially signed from Barrow by Molby, the ex-England schoolboy international made a great impression in his first season but injuries disrupted his Division Three days with the club.

However, Foster did score eight league goals in 2001/02 when Harriers finished 10th in the table only to become more of a fringe player when Britton took over from Molby.

League appearances/goals: Hereford (96/97) 19, Harriers (00/01) 10/2, (01/02) 33/8, (02/03) 29/1.

This season: 9 games, 3 goals (Chester 14 games, 9 substitute appearances, 2 goals).

Status: First-choice forward. Two month's loan from Chester from February 10.
