JAMIE Faulkener has been ruled out of Droitwich Spa RFC First XV action for up to 12 weeks with ankle ligament damage.

The prolific try scorer, who has touched down seven times in his last two games, injured his left ankle scoring in Spa's 38-18 win at Keresley the Saturday before last.

As the speedy winger went over to complete his hat-trick he was tackled late, forcing him to limp off just five minutes later.

And director of rugby Julian Bailey's worst fears have been confirmed.

He said: "I am absolutely gutted. He does score the tries for us and he will be very sorely missed."
