SKIPPER Wayne Hatswell is urging Kidderminster Harriers' players to ignore the 'circus' atmosphere which surrounds their dream FA Cup third round showdown with Wolver-hampton Wanderers on Saturday, January 3.
The clash is generating massive interest but defender Hatswell is eager to keep a lid on the excitement until the big day arrives.
He said: "Ignoring the 'circus' that will be surrounding the game, the lads will want to see how they fare against their Premiership counterparts.
"We won't be expected to win so I suppose it's a win-win situation. A thrashing would be embarrassing especially now the highlights are going to be shown on national television. But we can really make a name for ourselves if we can get at least a draw from the game."
Harriers boss Jan Molby made Hatswell captain shortly after returning for a second spell in the Aggborough 'hot-seat'.
The former Liverpool ace said: "He's been here now for ten matches and there's only been two defeats in those ten games, so he's played his part without any shadow of a doubt.
"I think he's enjoyed it with the added responsibility of being a captain.
"He's a leader. I felt when I came in it was the right decision having had a look at the squad.
"He was someone who could lead the team and it wouldn't affect his own game. I felt he was the right one at the time and I see no reason why we should change that."
