ANNA Simmonds, of Wor-cester Athletic Club, has been rewarded for her fine running with a call-up for England.
The under 17 athlete represented her country in an under 20 800 meteres race at Cardiff Indoor Stadium against, runners from Wales, Ireland and Loughborough University.
Simmonds finished second in a fine time of two minutes 11 seconds in a race on by Irish athlete Liz McWilliam in 2-10.
This fine performance could open the door for more international outings.
Other Worcester runners made their mark in the Silverstone Half Marathon. Brian Manks clocking one hour 25 min and Stuart Webb 1-28.
In the Gloucester '20' Dave Waldron's fine run gave him a time of two hours 18 minutes.
