WORCESTERSHIRE Royals' fight for promotion from Division Two of the Norwich Union League is heading for a thrilling climax following yesterday's rain-hit game with Glamorgan at New Road.
The match which was washed out after Glamorgan had made 254-6.
Both sides picked up two valuable points which was enough for table-topping Glamorgan to rubber stamp their promotion.
It also kept the County on course for place in the First Division next season, particularly as one of their promotion rivals Durham Dynamos lost by three wickets to Essex Eagles.
Worcestershire's Director of Cricket Tom Moody said: "It's all in our own hands. We have got two games left and if we win both of them then we don't
have to worry about anything."
The County's next match is against second-placed Durham at the Riverside on Sunday and seven days later they complete their programme at home to Essex.
Glamorgan were boosted by a century stand between Robert Croft and Matthew Maynard who put on 111 in 21 overs.
