YOUNG people who have made a real contribution to their community are being sought for a new award scheme.
Nominations are needed for the Worcestershire Young Stars award in five categories: arts; sport, outdoor activities or other interest/skill; young carers; service to the community; citizenship and environment.
Coun Jennette Davy, chairman of Malvern Hills Youth Strategy Group, said: "So many young people shine at what they do and yet all too often all we only hear about those who let everyone down by their bad behaviour.
"We look forward to hearing from anyone who knows a real star in any of the categories."
Nomination forms can be downloaded from www. worcestershire.gov.uk/ youngsters, or call Julie Bishop on 01905 765451. Deadline for entries is March 31. The awards will be presented at County Hall on April 24.
