WORCESTERSHIRE'S Andy Bichel snapped up five wickets as a revitalised Australia shot out South Africa for 106 to set up an eight-wicket victory in the Tri-Nations series.

Just four Proteas batsmen managed to reach double figures as they were bundled out in just 38.3 overs at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Bichel nabbed 5-19 and former Worcestershire pace ace Glenn Mc-Grath chipped in with 3- 29.

The South Africans made a disastrous start, with Herschelle Gibbs, who had been dismissed by McGrath first ball in Brisbane on Sunday, out again for a duck off the second ball he received.

The win, in 18.4 overs , earned Australia a bonus point which lifted them above South Africa in the tournament, which is led by New Zealand.

Ricky Ponting (33) and Mark Waugh (55no) steered Australia to victory.
