SIR William Lawrence, chairman of Visit Heart of England, has been appointed to the English Marketing Advisory Board (EMAB).
EMAB was created by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to support VisitBritain - the re-launched national tourist body - in marketing England domestically as a holiday destination.
"I am delighted to be appointed to EMAB and the mix of senior public and private sector specialists will have an integral role in supporting the marketing of England domestically," said Sir William.
"We have seen already a series of national media campaigns over the last year co-ordinated by VisitBritain which have, for the first time in over 10 years, been aimed at promoting the domestic holiday product to the English market."
