n I WAS amazed when reading the story headlined "Driver keeps licence" (Evening News, Thursday, February 12) to see that our magistrates now condone driving at up to 125 mph on the public highway.
I was under the impression that the law demanded an automatic loss of licence if caught at such a speed.
At least this sets a precedent for any motorists caught speeding anywhere else in the country.
This again raises the subject of magistrates and their lack of training.
