WELL done to all the mums and children and their brothers and sisters who braved the cold weather and went carol singing around the village, raising £49.85 for the village hall refurbishment fund. What a great effort and much appreciated.
The playgroup meets on Wednesday and Friday mornings in the village hall and a pre-school session is held at the school on Tuesdays.
The toddler group meets on Thursday mornings from 10am to noon in the village hall. Ring Alice Hall if you would like some more details on 01452 700258.
The lucky winners in the Corse and Staunton Playing Fields Lottery (200 club) November draw were J Robinson (£40), S Giles (£25), C Hulls (£15) and D Hill (£10).
The December draw winners were S Todd (£40), M Homer (£25), D Thomas (£15) and H Wyatt (£10).
The twice-lucky accumulator remains intact and now stands at £480. Also in the December draw, bottles of wine went to P Trigg, I Thomas, M Barclay, M Ellis, P Mitchell, D Bensley, H Tyrer, Mrs Beckley, I Imm and G Lee.
