YEAR 8 pupils from Elgar Technology College enjoyed a poetry workshop with the UK's "tallest story-telling, didgeridoo-playing performance poet".
Andrew Fusek-Peters visited the Bilford Road school, in Blackpole.
He told the children stories and about the Australian Aboriginals as well as reading a selection of his work.
Mr Fusek-Peters, who is around 6ft 6ins tall, was invited to the school, on Tuesday, following school studies of his work, which deals mainly with issues affecting young people, including drugs, relationships and fitting in.
Forty pupils were chosen to attend the workshop after they took part in a poetry-writing competition.
