WORCESTER have pro-mised to 'sprint to the line' in the race for promotion.

The Warriors, who lead the National One table by 11 points from second-placed Orrell, go into Saturday's London Welsh clash knowing that a pragmatic approach could ultimately see them past the winning post.

However, coaches John Brain and Andy Keast will not use the points cushion as an excuse to adopt a more conservative outlook. The duo want to see bonus points galore on the way to the title this season.

"We put pressure on ourselves to keep on improving," said Brain, Worcester's director of rugby.

"That means we want to continue to develop our game, take the bonus points and sprint to the line. We've no intention of taking our foot off the pedal."

"We've always said our ethos is high risk, high reward and that hasn't changed just because of our lead," added Keast.

Worcester travel to Old Deer Park, for the 2pm kick-off, in search of an unprecedented 17th successive league victory of the season.

Ben Hinshelwood, Drew Hickey and Ben Daly are all ruled out after picking up injuries last weekend against Bedford.

David Officer, Richard Bates and Chris Hall come in for the trio while fit again Gavin Pfister has to be content with a place on the bench following the man-of-the-match display from openside flanker Russell Earnshaw in Saturday's full debut.

Mark Gabey returns to the starting line-up alongside Craig Gillies in the second row, while Daren O'Leary continues at full-back because of Duncan Roke's absence.

Tommy Hayes is back in the squad after suffering a hamstring strain, but will not be risked from the start.

The former Cook Islands international is named as a replacement, while Tony Windo will continue to captain the side.

"If you look at our remaining 10 league fixtures then you have to say that this is one of the toughest," added Brain.

"We have a great amount of respect for London Welsh and it is always a good game when we go down there."
