REDDITCH as a town with wide sweeping streets and with airy and spacious factories was visualised by a speaker at last Friday's fifth annual dinner held by the Redditch Business and Professional Womens' Club.
The club would do its best to help to make that ideal a reality and there was no doubt they would have the people behind them, added the speaker, Mrs M Percie who was proposing a toast to the town.
Mrs Percie said that although there were many things in Redditch she would like to change, she wished to pay tribute to the housing work which had been done by the local authority.
Redditch was very advanced in this respect for a small town.
