PLANS for a 100 bed hotel and 86 homes on the site of a former railway goods yard near the town centre look set to be given the go ahead.
A planning application for the four-storey hotel, flats and terraced houses off Hewell Road will be debated by Redditch Council's planning committee next Tuesday.
Planning officers have asked to be given authority to grant permission for the development subject to a number of conditions, including a 106 Agreement and landscaping schemes.
Redditch Council's leisure, sport and recreation department has called for the developers to install a play area and ball court costing approximately £75,000.
Four letters of objection to the application have been submitted following public consultation.
Concerns over the increase in traffic, the existing road system and pedestrian safety have been raised.
