BROMSGROVE Swimming Club finished third in the first round of the Worcester Winter League despite two disqualifications.
Bromsgrove, the host team, achieved three first place finishes on Saturday, January 17, in the shape of Simon Smith (Open 100m backstroke), Lucie Edmunds (U15s 100m backstroke) and Laura Ashford, Smith, Lisa Harrison, Neil Goodman, Rebecca Alton and brother James (Open mixed 6x1 freestyle relay).
Sisters Loren and Lisa Harrison, together with Stuart Corbett and Connor Simmons secured second place results.
William Baker and Victoria Law both swam personal best times in their respective U11s 50m freestyle events.
Bromsgrove finished 36 points behind second place Stourbridge, in turn eight adrift of winners Perry Beeches and Sutton Swim Squad.
