A superb evening of entertainment was organised on Friday, January 16, to raise funds towards the refurbishment of the village hall.
An inter-club challenge quiz between 19 teams from the many clubs which use the hall ended in a joint victory by The Lost Chords, representing the keyboard club, and The Bridge Battalion representing the bridge club.
With quizmaster Bryan Hillson in excellent form, the evening was a roaring success for more than 100 attendees.
The next normal meeting will be on Wednesday, February 4, starting at 7.30 pm and culminating in a concert by chairman Mervyn John.
Anyone interested in an inexpensive evening of good music is warmly invited to attend.
Entrance fee is £1 for members, £2 for non-members.
