A FENCING duo from Bromsgrove has been crowned champions at a Birmingham event.
The U12s foil pairing of Rebecca Phillips and Helen Brookes, both from Bromsgrove Prep School, defeated all in their path to win their age group at the Birmingham Schools Fencing Association competition in Edgbaston earlier this month.
Rebecca and Helen saw off four other teams en route to victory and now qualify for the West Midlands Schools event due to be held at Winterfold House School, in Chaddesley Corbett, on Saturday, January 31.
