BROMSGROVE and Redditch AC members, 13 in all, travelled to Stratford for a new shortened version of the Roman 9. A field of over 755 tackled the demanding 12k course with Julian Moorehouse of Birchfield Harriers being a convincing winner in 37min.17secs.
Dave Kesterton was first home for the club in 43.49 for 17th place with a steadily improving Paul Atkins following in 24th in 44.44. Huw Jenkins was close behind in 44.56 for 26th. Mark Graham and Gordon Marshall again had a good battle with Graham coming 38th in 45.58 and Marshall 41st in 46.14. Peter Hawcroft (V50) was first club vet in 48.09 for 75th. Rowena Bales (V40) was first club lady in 51.13 for 150th with Roger Beacham second V60.
