AS one of Alcester's older generation who has to use public transport, may I bring to your notice the filthy state of our buses - inside and out.

Time was when paid cleaners did their jobs admirably but in this money-motivated society, it seems this is not possible.

Surely in this age of mechanisation a car wash in each garage is not too much to ask.

Heaven knows what opinion foreign visitors have of us.

I suppose, as usual, we must just put up with it all but please, oh please, could we have the windows cleaned?
