youngsters at a village first school took a step back in time when they looked at life in the Victorian era.
Organiser Faye Little visited Tibberton First School on Monday to give the children a hands-on experience of life in 19th century Britain.
The pupils took the role of either a scullery maid or a boot boy and lived and worked in a rich master's house under the directions of Annie the housemaid, who was played by Faye.
The children took to their daily chores with zest. They were instructed to beat carpets, sweep the floor, grind coffee, dust, clean pots and make hankies.
Head teacher Heather Gratland said: "Faye visits us once every two years to coincide with our Victorian project. The whole school joined in the activities and thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and taking the role of various Victorian characters."
