IN reply to Frank L Jones (You Say, Wednesday, January 21), I am a little disappointed by his scathing attack on agencies such as Forums for Older People.
This organisation goes quietly along making representations and attending meetings with principle bodies such as Health, Social Services, Pensions, Transport and much more - in fact anything to do with elderly people.
Frank Jones, you had better believe that the Grey Army is getting mobilised.
I recently attended a conference in Birmingham where Forum for Older People delegates from Ireland, Scotland and England and Wales demonstrated a strong unity and common interest for the elderly.
They are mobilised and they have a voice.
And the politicians are certainly aware of the Grey Vote. So don't sit at home passing judgement, come and do something about the problems.
BRIAN HUNT,
Worcester.
